Enhancement Phase
In the Enhancement Phase, you will curate the metadata and visual presentation of your content. This phase builds on the raw material added in the Discovery Phase to create an edited, coherent Anthology. You will use the Review Quality Panel to perform a spot check of your scanned items, select thumbnail images and choose highlighted pages. In the Describe Panel, you will view and edit the metadata associated with the items in your Anthology. Finally, you will use the Collections Panel to organize your Anthology's content into collections.
Content Status Panel
Use the Content Status Panel to see if BiblioBoard's automated Processing Phase encountered any errors with your files. If any files had issues, you may use this panel to send failed files back to the Processing Phase for a second try.
Review Quality Panel
Use the Review Quality Panel to view the visual presentation of each item in the Anthology and assign highlights. Here, for images, audio files, and video files, you merely approve the quality of the content. For PDF items, you select title pages and thumbnails and have the ability to hide any pages you don't want your users to see such as blank pages, watermarks, or thumbprints.
Describe Panel
Use the Describe Panel to view, add to or edit the metadata associated with each item in your anthology. For items added using the Upload Panel, you will be able to review the metadata already entered and edit if necessary. For items added from a linked database using the Search Panel, you may need to fill in additional metadata not found in the database.
Collections Panel
Use the Collections Panel to give your anthology structure by distributing your content into separate, thematic collections. Much like chapters in a book, these collections divide your content up into meaningful groupings.
Returning to the Discovery Phase
At any time during the Enhancement Phase, you may return your Anthology to the Discovery Phase by clicking the link in the top left-hand corner. By sending your Anthology back to the Discovers Phase, you can use the Upload Panel or Search Panel to add additional content. Creator will save the work you've done in the Enhancement Phase, so you won't need to redo anything.
Finishing the Enhancement Phase
Once you have approved the metadata for all your content and placed every object into a collection, you are ready to move on to the Marketing Phase.
